FAQ

Who is the Resilient Leaders Program for?

Leadership teams who need to build or maintain practical capability to perform under pressure. You're managing operational complexity, maybe teams aren't performing at the level you know they're capable of, or change initiatives aren't landing the way they should, maybe growth is on the horizon. This works when you're ready to invest in genuine skill development, not band-aids or motivational speeches.

Do the other programs (Resilient Teams, DRIVE Framework, Resilient Response) require completing Resilient Leaders first?

No, each program can stand alone, and all programs are adjusted on scoping. Some organisations may need a different format or want a longer engagement. However, starting with Resilient Leaders creates the ideal foundation - when leaders have clarity and capability, team programs and systematic transformation land more effectively. We can discuss the right sequencing for your organisation during the discovery call.

How is this different from other leadership programs?

Most leadership programs lecture theory and the Harvard Business review recently found that this pathway actually has a negative impact (2025). We put you in controlled stress scenarios so you experience how pressure affects decision-making, then teach you to manage it. You'll practice coaching conversations with real-time feedback, examine your own leadership patterns honestly, and build skills through repetition - not passive listening.

This isn't theory. Programs don't include war stories or battlefield analogies - there isn't time. Every moment is focused on building your capability, not showcasing ours.

Is this all tactical operations/military content?

No. The program is completely designed for business - your challenges, your context, your team dynamics.

The foundations come from Tactical Operations stress inoculation methodology (how the CT teams train to perform under extreme pressure), but during the program we only focus on what works for your team in your operational environment.

There are no war stories, no battlefield analogies, no military jargon. We don't have time for that - every moment is focused on building your capability, not showcasing ours.

You'll work on actual leadership challenges: difficult conversations, coaching under pressure, managing conflict, building trust. Business scenarios, not tactical operations scenarios.

The methodology is from tactical operations. The application is entirely your business reality.

Is the Resilient Leaders Program evidence-based?

Yes. The program methodology is built on stress inoculation training - a cognitive-behavioural intervention with decades of validation in military and law enforcement contexts where decision-making errors have life-or-death consequences.

The approach has been adapted and validated in corporate environments, with measurable outcomes including 420% increases in psychological safety indicators, significant reductions in workers compensation claims, and improvements in leadership capability under pressure.

For detailed research foundations and corporate case study outcomes, see our Evidence Framework.

Is this physically demanding?

No. The program focuses on cognitive and emotional capability under pressure, not physical fitness. Controlled stress scenarios are psychological, not physical. Anyone who can participate in a standard two-day workshop can participate in this program.

Is the controlled stress environment safe?

Yes. Conflict and pressure are part of leadership - that's the reality of your working environment. The program replicates these dynamics in a setting where you can explore your responses, learn frameworks, and build capability to perform when it matters.

What this isn't: There's no yelling, no physical demands, no trauma exposure, no humiliation. That's not how effective stress inoculation works for leadership development.

What it is: Psychological scenarios that mirror the actual level of pressure you face. You experience genuine stress response and learn to manage it with real-time coaching support.

The key difference: you're not managing real operational consequences trying to put theory into practice. You're practicing in an environment designed for development, with structured support.

Psychological safety is managed through:

  • Boundaries on what scenarios involve

  • Experienced facilitation focused on learning, not humiliation

  • Structured debrief after each scenario

  • Professional coaching throughout

You build capability to perform under pressure by experiencing pressure in a controlled environment - not by reading about it. That's how this works.

Do we need to prepare anything in advance?

No preparation required. Come ready to participate, practice, and be honest about your leadership patterns. The experiential learning works because you don't know what's coming - that's the point.

Can this run on-site or does it need to be off-site?

The program can be run on or off-site. It works best when participants are away from operational distractions and can focus entirely on capability development. We can discuss venue options during the discovery call.

What if we have more than 15 people?

The program is designed for 8-15 participants to ensure everyone gets extensive practice and real-time feedback. For larger leadership teams, we can run multiple cohorts or discuss a cascaded approach where senior leaders complete the program first, then middle management, then frontline supervisors - creating consistent capability across the organisation.

What's the booking process?

Schedule a discovery call to discuss your team's challenges and whether the program is a good fit. If we decide to proceed, we'll confirm dates, venue, and logistics during the scoping process.

Where do you deliver programs?

We deliver across Australia. Programs are delivered in-person at your location or at suitable off-site venues we can arrange. Discovery calls and integrated coaching sessions are available virtually for convenience.

Can you deliver virtually or only in-person?

Our programs are designed for in-person delivery. Controlled stress scenarios, real-time coaching practice, and experiential learning require face-to-face interaction - they don't translate effectively to virtual environments.

We travel to your location or arrange suitable off-site venues across Australia.

The integrated coaching component (1 hour per participant) can be delivered virtually after the program for convenience.
